A Family Affair Tea Party: 09.18.2010

Cartilini proudly supports Habitat for Humanity by attending a family affair tea party. The event was sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Delta Iota Omega Chapter). Held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 in The Hope Center at Zion Hope Primitive Baptist Church, all raised proceeds were donated by the sponsoring organization to benefit Pensacola's Habitat for Humanity.

American Cancer Society: 07.16.2010

Miss.Domoreyou Pageant: 06.26.2010

On June 26th, 2010 Laketa Poindexter, the owner of domoreyou.com sophistically wore a cherry red Tailor & Amour Urban-T dress during the Miss. Domoreyou Pageant. The event was held on 500 West Belmont St. in Pensacola, Florida featuring some of the cities most influential socialites. Presented by Domoreyou.com and the Diversity Entertainment Board, the pageant was taped before a live audience. As Poindexter announced that she was wearing a Tailor & Amour dress she then introduced Carlyn James as the designer. Carlyn entered the stage and then announced the awards as well as the Queen of the 2010 Miss. Domoreyou Pageant. MANNA PR/Ad Campaign: 06.14.2010

On the 14th day of June 2010 Tailor & Amour, Cartilini, and Friends joined Tim Evans who is the director of Manna Food Pantries in a PR/Ad Campaign. The team had a wonderful time volunteering as models and serving as a voice for the organization. Recordings were conducted by Brent Lane from Cat Country Radio on FM 98.7. Founded in 1982, Manna is a private nonprofit corporation which is dedicated to alleviate hunger in the community and is greatly supported by its volunteers. Beauty by the Bay: 06.13.2010

On the 13th day of June 2010 the Beauty by the Bay Fashion Show & Dinner was held at the Sanders Beach-Corrine Jones Community Center in Pensacola, Florida. The event was given as an Autism Fundraiser in honor of the King Richard Foundation. Donations can still be made as all proceeds will benefit children with autism and "Kids for Camp". During the show Mrs. Gloria Clay, founder of Women Telling Their Business & Vice President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Delta Iota Omega) South Atlantic Graduate Chapter was styled in Tailor & Amour. Clay wore a draped water blue top and black polyester pants. Carlyn James was introduced as the designer of the attire and a guest at the event, by Mamie L. Hixon who was the first African American English Professor at the University of West Florida and is also the AKA sorority historian for the graduate chapter of Pensacola. Other segments of the show featured some of Pensacola's own; Celebrities of Style, First Ladies of Style, Ladies of Fashion, and Women of Distinction. Tailor & Amour Fashion Show: 04.23.2010

Tailor & Amour held its first fashion show on April 23, 2010 in Pensacola,Florida. Sponsored by Collegiate 100 Black Men of Pensacola and hosted by Island Riddim Entertainment the event was held in the conference center of the University of West Florida. It was the first time ever that a fashion designer presented their collection at the University. Stimulating the economy partnering vendors included Minxed Nails by: Hand n' Sole Spa, Ruth's Uniform Shop, Geneva Botanicals, an independent beauty consultant from Mary K. Cosmetics, Mixed Tapes Most Wanted, and DJ J5 on the 1's and 2's. The first segment of the show consisted of models walking down the runway in the all new Tailor & Amour Street Sweet Ready-to-Wear and Denim collection. During the intermission was a live performance from Poetry in Motion, a talented up and coming band who recently opened up the stage for R&B artist Usher. The second segment introduced the evening wear and urban t-dress collection.

Women Telling Their Business: 04.16.2010

Carlyn James spoke on the behalf of Tailor & Amour at the Women Telling Their Business Forum on Friday April 16, 2010. The function was held at the Tyron Branch Library in Pensacola, Florida. Posing as a model, Lynniqua Edwards sported a lovely top, bottom, and accessories from the collection so that individuals could see and feel the quality of the brand. The Velvet Rope Affair: 04.02.2010


The African American Student Association presents: The Velvet Rope Affair. On April 02, 2010 Carlyn James attends the AASA Fashion Show at the University of West Florida as a special guest on the behalf of Tailor & Amour. A segment of the clothing line was presented to introduce the brand before the actual show on April 23, 2010.

Island Riddim Ent. Partnership: 04.01.2010

Tailor & Amour partners with Island Riddim Entertainment and entourage. Carlyn James is the liaison stylist and wardrobe consultant. The companies will also be collaborating with one another on fashion shows and other stage events.

Tailor & Amour Fashion Show: 04.23.2010

On April 23, 2010 a fashion show will be held in Pensacola, Florida showing off the all new Tailor & Amour Collection. The event will take place at the University of West Florida in the Conference Center. The show starts at 8:00 p.m. However, doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at the door. Exclusive segments of the clothing line such as ready-to-wear, denim, and the evening wear collection will be presented.
